Welcome to The Institute of Veterinary Education & Advanced Technology (iVEAT)

I am the Director of iVEAT. I was born in Osaka and grew up in the surburb of Osaka.

I graduated from University of Osaka Prefecture in 1977 and worked in small animal practices before I went to study for Master of Science and PhD degrees at University of California, Davis from 1980 to 1987. After I finished my graduate work, I was selected as a radiology resident at Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at University of Wisconsin. From 1990, I worked as an assistant professor in veterinary radiology at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine until 1995. Then, I moved to University of Illinois and University of Florida (Associate Professor). In 2003 after 24 years in USA, I moved back to Japan and founded iVEAT. I have been certified as a veterinary radiologist by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (The first and only one Japanese in the College back then).

My goal is to educate Japanese veterinarians and provide the best diagnostic imaging interpretation to referring veterinarians.
